our summer trip (well, the start at least!)

We went to Utah for the summer and were kept very busy! So I decided to start sharing some of what we did. Here are some pictures from the start (the first week). This week wasn't quite as busy as the rest of the summer (I think because it was spent in prep for the rest of the summer!!!) Anyway, it was fun as you can see. We went to my Grandpa's work picnic (the girls love doing things with Grandpa!!!) We also got to go see Aunt Kimi's new house. The girls loved exploring and playing in the house and the backyard!

Oh, yes this is the beginning of summer (the second week of June!) Yes it was pretty darn cool! We were used to the hot weather of Texas and weren't quite prepared for the cold! But... we survived! It was kind of nice to have a bit of relief from the heat, really! It did get warmer. Later.

Whoa! can you believe I'm actually posting? I can't! Well, we have had a busy busy summer, but it was tons of fun! We went to Utah to visit my family for the summer and we also got to visit Chicago! I have lots of pictures that I'm going to start putting up, but I don't think that I will be able to do much of that tonight seeing as it is almost 12:30 am while I'm writing this! I thought, however, that I would put up a few little things from Mikayla's birthday, since we just celebrated it today (or I guess you would say it was yesterday if you wanted to get technical!) Anyway, so here they are. Enjoy, and I'll attempt to get more up about our summer!

The trip (or part of it anyway!)

Here are a few pictures from our recent Chicago trip. The girls are not at a zoo but at one of the nature preserves there. The little boy in the picture of Savannah is Daxton- their cousin.

Mission accomplished!

These are just a couple of pictures Grant has sent me. He told me that all five weapons (do you see them all?) in this picture are actually loaded at the moment this was taken (they had just gotten back off a mission- no I don't know what mission that was, sorry). Apparently, they like taking silly pictures- which would explain the silly faces.

And now...Savannah!

Well, here are Savannah's pictures. They didn't turn out quite as good as Mikayla's because of the lighting. It was night- there wasn't anything I could really do so I did the best I could. Her hair has just been cleaned and let dry. It may be straight, but it is very shiny and has lots of body. It doesn't just hang. Savannah likes to pose. Can you tell?
